About Us

Motivated By Music (MBM) is a deeply personal endeavor, inspired by my son, Justin's, journey as a violist through exceptional programs like PMAY, Musicopia, Project 440, Temple Prep, Sinfonia, and many more. Navigating the college application process, we faced the frustrating reality of limited and often inaccessible scholarship options for talented musicians. The search was marked by complex requirements that frequently led to disappointment.

This experience fueled a desire to create a better way. Therefore, in November 2021, Motivated By Music was founded with the core belief that applying for a music scholarship should be straightforward and that financial aid should be impactful. Our scholarships are designed to cover either tuition or room and board, free from unnecessary disqualifying conditions.
